Naturally, Tulip Food Company wants to guarantee customers access to the correct and most up-to-date images in catalogs and websites. Previously, Tulip used manual workflows to manage both images and requests for providing them. With the help of Tulip’s image database, Digizuite™l, they now render the images automatically.

 

‘Our customers often require access to our product images for their catalogs. By using our image database, they can download the material by themselves. We upload the images in high resolution. They are automatically rendered into the desired format. We save valuable time, since we no longer need to manage and send our images to our customers manually. This is why we invested in the image database in the first place. We also minimize the risk of making mistakes by ensuring that our old and outdated images are no longer available,’ says Jacob Reinholdt, Online Manager at Tulip Food Company.

 

A central image repository for external and internal use

Digizuite™ DAM is much more than an image bank. It’s a comprehensive digital asset management software system that allows you to distribute your digital assets on multiple channels from a single source through automated workflows. To ensure that their solution constantly generates value on several fronts, Tulip is expanding it on an ongoing basis.

 

Since early 2011, Tulip has been using Digizuite™ as a central repository to store all images for external use. Now, thanks to user rights, they also use Digizuite™ internally.

Easy to find and use images directly from within Microsoft Office

‘Several employees now have access to the image database when using Microsoft Office tools, including Word and PowerPoint. This allows us to use our images from the database directly within the Microsoft Office tools without having to search our shared servers or local drive. It’s much easier to get people to use our images when they are able to search them directly within our Microsoft Office tools. It also guarantees that they use the right images without having to download them from our media manager,’ says Jacob Reinholdt.

 

Integration with Sitecore, video portal and other databases from the central repository

‘We’re already using the image database and Microsoft Office Connector. We’re also in the process of connecting a video portal with our current solution, where we plan to share our commercials. Our website is built using Sitecore. Right now we’re considering integrating our solution with Sitecore by applying the Digizuite™ DAM for Sitecore module,’ continues Jacob Reinholdt.

 

The opportunities are endless. Tulip Food Company is also about to implement a new product database. Because the database cannot contain images, Jacob Reinholdt is considering the option of integrating Digizuite™ with the database to enable automated transfer of their product images to the database. Digizuite’s open API makes this a simple procedure.

‘Our long-term vision is to use Digizuite™ as a central image and video repository, and to deploy it both internally and externally,’ concludes Jacob Reinholdt.
